New/Old Munuvian

This is my first nomination and I hope it will be met with great acclaim. I write to propose: margilowry-dot-com, currently hosted at Blogs-About Hosting. I think she'd be a terrific candidate and maybe, if we all asked really nicely, she'd consider coming back to us.

What do you think? How about it, Margi?

3 suggestions from the LLama Butchers

Howdy folks! I've never recommended anyone for Moo Knew before, but I can think of three great potential members:

Kathleen at cakeeaterchronicles.blogspot.com

Nicole at potomocponderings.blogspot.com

and

the Crack Young Staff at hatemongersquarterly.blogspot.com

All three are fresh, witty, supremely well-written, and completely languishing at blogger.

Thanks!

BOUDICCA OF BOUDICCA'S VOICE?

My blogdaughter, Boudicca, of Boudicca's Voice has been at Blogspot since June. She loves blogging, posts regularly, and is ready for something a little more versatile.

Warm, amusing, and fiery in alternating random intervals, I believe she would make a good addition to the wonderful world of MuNu.

What say you?

I Have a Nomination for You

The wonderful talented blogger Sissy Willis of SISU is completely fed up with typepad. I think she would be a fabulous addition to the MuNu Universe. She comes complete with cute cat pictures, terrific writing, and the occasional link from the Insta-man himself. What do you say Munuvians! Can I have some Yays?

Demosophist, thumbs up

Ditto on Scott the Demosophist. He's our kind of people.

Um, may I suggest one more?

This guy, Scott, over at Demosohpia, seems to have some pretty thoughtful posts, and is a pretty nice guy, to boot. He's living on TypePad, but I think wouldn't be a bad sort as a munuvian.

Any thoughts? Do we have another YAY! available?

Another MBlog Victim

Take a look at Talk About the Shaft (one entry down) and you will see that numerous blogs were lost when mBLog up and shutdown without any warning to the bloggers.

Bill Faith of In Bills world was one of those bloggers. Bill's has his site over on Blogsnot and had hoped to improve upon it. In his effort to improve things he just recently moved to mBlog with a site called Small Town Veteran (Unfortunately I can't provide a link as it is gone). Bill is a veteran and a great blogger. He has been asked to guest post at the Mudville Gazette and Backcountry Conservative and has provided me with very valuable information over the past few months.

I'd like to see Bill on Mu.Nu if we have room?!?!

What do you think?

SlagleRock Out!

**Update** Mr Faith is up and running again at TypePad and graciously thanks the Munuvians for their interest in hosting him. He said he is sorry he had to go elsewhere, but is looking to host bloggers of his own. Thanks again.

Sorry we couldn't keep you Bill :(

Why Not Matt?

My buddy, Matt, wants to leave Blogger pretty badly. He's ready to step up in the world of blogging.

I spent some time yesterday telling him how good Movable Type is and thought that I would place his blog here just to see if the Munuvians would like to take him on.

What say ye, Munuvians?

Talk about the Shaft...

My husband and all of my blog-children at Mblog.com found out last night that they had gotten the shaft. After posting there in their free service, they found out that their blogs are gone, and their archives are being held hostage for $35.

Apparently they had a dispute with Movable Type and were "forced to shut down" as it were.

I have some good friends there, including my husband who operated "Emigre with a Digital Cluebat." He is righteously upset, and has nowhere to go. I can't even direct you over to look at his old stuff, as it is totally and completely gone. Vapor has more substance than his blog right now.

Any suggestions? We're at a loss, as are lots of other people. We can't even afford the fee for his own archives, much less a domain registration and traditional host.

Any ideas would be vastly appreciated.
