Talk about the Shaft...

My husband and all of my blog-children at Mblog.com found out last night that they had gotten the shaft. After posting there in their free service, they found out that their blogs are gone, and their archives are being held hostage for $35.

Apparently they had a dispute with Movable Type and were "forced to shut down" as it were.

I have some good friends there, including my husband who operated "Emigre with a Digital Cluebat." He is righteously upset, and has nowhere to go. I can't even direct you over to look at his old stuff, as it is totally and completely gone. Vapor has more substance than his blog right now.

Any suggestions? We're at a loss, as are lots of other people. We can't even afford the fee for his own archives, much less a domain registration and traditional host.

Any ideas would be vastly appreciated.

Lets Get Emigre up at Mu.Nu. He hosted a great site that was on its way up.

I say yay, but I already have two people waiting and I'm off on a trip this weekend, so it might be a week or so before I can get to anyone new.

Yay! Even if it takes a week or two.

If anyone wants to see some of his posts, Delfts has been "guest posting" at my blog. Come take a look and see what you think.

Sorry about not getting back to you before. Sure, Delfts would be welcome here.
