I ran across a good one today, or at least I liked this post:
Is it just me or does anyone else find it amazing that our government can track a cow born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she sleeps in the state of Washington.Posted by Mr Mouse at April 23, 2004 07:36 PMAlso they track her calves to their stalls.
But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country.
The solution is to give every illegal alien a cow.
But Mouse, the guy has 6 chihuahuas and not a single bulldog!
Posted by: Bird Brain at April 23, 2004 07:40 PMI kind of like this guy, too.
Posted by: Bravo Romeo Delta at April 23, 2004 08:22 PMI noticed that he had not linked a single Munuvian on his blogroll. I wonder if he has something against Munuvians?
Posted by: notGeorge at April 23, 2004 09:04 PMActually, he has Ilyka blogrolled, but at her old home.
I say yes!
Six chihuahuas?! I guess in case he loses one, there's always a backup. Or maybe he has them arranged as a RAID set (Redundant Array of Insignificant Dogs) so that they act like one real dog.
Posted by: Pixy Misa at April 24, 2004 04:05 AMPixy, they *are* real dogs inside. Like a horror movie where Arnold Swarzenegger is trapped inside Richard Simmons' body. :)
Posted by: Ted at April 25, 2004 11:02 PMI dunno. I didn't see anything that offered any real insight -- or unique take -- on anything. Frankly, I was disappointed. No real insight or worldly wisdom was offered by the 60 yr old author. In fact it seemed kinda adolescently petulant. I actually expect more legitimate insight out the Fear Your Future gang.
Plus, the above example is kinda silly and not thought through very well. Cattle are tracible because they're documented. Illegal aliens are, by definition, undocumented. If we can find an illegal alien to give him that cow, why would we let him go with the cow (so we can find him) rather than deport him? Maybe I'm over analysing his attempt at witty observational humor, but, I really expected more from a sextogenarian. Just my 4 cents... :)
