Guy S of Snugg Harbor is sailing some stormy seas over at Blogger! If the name of his blog seems a bit familiar to all of us Heinlein readers, that's because it is based on the name of Jake and DeeTee Burroughs hideaway in "The Number of the Beast". Guy is a US Navy vet with libertarian leanings. He's not politically correct, but he is fun to read.
What say you, shall we give Guy the Snugg Harbor he needs?
Hopefully I'm not too much of a MuNuby to sponsor an immigrant

Posted by EricC at May 3, 2005 12:42 AMAaah! You mentioned The Book That Shall Not Be Named! Bonk.
Other than that, I say yay!
Posted by: Pixy Misa at May 3, 2005 02:34 AMNot my favorite, but not sure I'd categorize it as "the book that shall not be named". ;-)
Posted by: Eric at May 3, 2005 08:05 AMAny book that concentrates that hard on a lead characters nipples can't be all bad.
Odd, but I can't remember much about it except for the expressive nipples. Hmmm...
Oh, almost forgot - Yay!
Posted by: Jim at May 3, 2005 02:02 PMHey Jim, the first version of the book I read was the illustrated version!
Posted by: Eric at May 3, 2005 06:01 PMThere is an illustrated version *perk*.
And a most humble thank you to Eric for the nomination, and to Pixy and Jim for the "Yays".
There is an illustrated version. It was published in shortly after the original hardback and is double the size of a normal paperback. If Jim thought he had a hard time getting his minds off nipples after reading the book, try it after you see the artist's idea of what DeeTee looks like!
Posted by: Eric at May 3, 2005 10:16 PMThere is an illustrated version *perk*.
I think what you mean is "There is an illustrated version *spung*."
Posted by: Pixy Misa at May 3, 2005 11:32 PMPixy,
Eric didn't mention, that I am an old fart. So, until I *see* said illustrated edition, in order to conserve the finite number of "sprungs" I have left...I go with the more tentative "perk". I dread the day when I have to throttle back the "perk" to the whistfull "twitch".
Nono, "spung". It's in the book. :)
Posted by: Pixy Misa at May 4, 2005 11:32 PMI found the original printing, trade paperback, at Amazon. Less than $4. When's payday again?
Guy, I'll get you set up with your new blog tomorrow.
Posted by: Jim at May 5, 2005 01:49 PMThank you all. I shall be at the desk of many messes, waiting *grin.* (goes to amazon to check out the graphicness of said novel)
