Cathy Seipp. Has anyone felt out Cathy Seipp about moving off Journalspace?
Unlike many bloggers, I don't have one particular "blogfather." The closest I come to having one is, I once wanted to comment on Cathy's daughter's blog and, when I attempted to, Journalspace demanded "free registration" first--and free registration came with a free blog. Total accidental blogging.
But Miz Seipp is brilliant, witty, and cute. (I don't lay that kinda praise on a woman every day, now. You g'wan mark that on the calendar.) Moreover, she's a professional writer. I think she'd be a major feather-in-the-cap for Munuvia, if she'd be willing to move. And considering that her ex-husband ostensibly once hacked her Journalspace blog, I think it's just possible that she'd jump at the chance to go mu.nu.
What does anyone else think? What does The Master think? 'Cause you know if Pixy told me to vote Kerry, I'd have to at least think about it.
Posted by Ilyka at May 8, 2004 09:37 AMWow, she's awesome! I'm blogrolling her!
But, she seems to have it all in place with readers and comments and photos and all the bells and whistles. If she's blogging for free already with all that then I doubt she'd want to bother with packing up and moving. But, hey, can't hurt to ask. She'd definately be a superduper addition to Munuvia!
The Great and Powerful Pixy of Oz would never tell us to vote Kerry! Now, Dean, maybe... :)
Posted by: Susie at May 8, 2004 06:28 PMshe's blogging for free already
That's the thing, see: Journalspace is only "free" for the first three months. After that you gotta pay for "premium" access.
Posted by: ilyka at May 8, 2004 07:20 PMWell THAT sucks. Of course I vote Yay!
Posted by: Tuning Spork at May 8, 2004 08:46 PMI'm a YaY! on this one.
And as for Pixy endorsing Kerry, well he is a foreign leader!
Posted by: Stephen Macklin at May 8, 2004 11:21 PMOh, you guys, you are making me blush with your kind words. But I think I must remain loyal to journalspace, because (1) I am sentimental about it at this point; (2) it's cheap...just about $20 a year; (3) I am a technophobe, journalspace is easy, or at least easy enough for me...
But what is Munuvia?
Posted by: Cathy Seipp at May 9, 2004 07:05 AMErr...
(Waves hands about)
This is Munuvia! (See on the right?)
Posted by: Pixy Misa at May 9, 2004 11:15 AMCome join the MuNu masses! We're not that scary... well, some of us are...
